Since 2013 Xylella Fastidiosa has spread in the Salento peninsula leading to the drying out of more than two million olive trees.

Our woodchip product is sustainability certified as biomass from Trees Outside Forrest under the Sustainable Biomass Program.

Olive Trees with high net calorific value

Olive trees have an intrinsic very competitive net calorific value and a high material density allowing for an interesting business case.

A long horizon for any supply programs

There is no immediate remediation of the situation, and as such we have a long planning horizon with our customers allowing for multiple year programs.

Purchasing woodchips is being part of the transformation

We are part of the change program to remove the Xylella Fastidiosa infected olive trees and replant with new and more numerous trees in the region of Puglia.
